2. Service description

VIF is a digital platform designed for event entertainment. It allows an organizer, in particular, to create an event and offer participants missions, photo-taking, a gallery, a leaderboard and other interactive features depending on the selected plan.

The service is used through a web browser. No application download is required for participants.

3. Event creation

The organizer is responsible for the accuracy of the information provided when creating the event.

One purchase corresponds to one event. A purchase cannot be reused to create multiple separate events.

4. Price and payment

For classic plans and VIF Business, the applicable price is the price displayed or agreed before payment. For VIF PAY-AS-YOU-GO, the unit price accepted before preparation is multiplied, after the event, by the number of billable active participants.

The total amount charged by VIF, including any fees or taxes added by VIF when applicable, is shown before the payment transaction is completed. For VIF PAY-AS-YOU-GO, no additional VIF fee is added to the calculation based on the unit price and number of billable active participants.

Online payments are processed using the payment service provider used by VIF. VIF does not directly store complete payment card information.

5. Activation and period of use

For prepaid plans and VIF Business offers paid before use, the organizer may prepare and use the event after payment confirmation. For VIF PAY-AS-YOU-GO, the organizer may prepare the event after accepting the contract; payment is made after the event based on the final number of billable active participants.

Access to the game associated with the event is temporary. Unless otherwise indicated in VIF, use remains available until the end of the second day following the event date.

After this period expires, certain features may be automatically disabled and content may be subject to VIF retention rules.

6. Cancellation and refund

For offers paid before the event, a voluntary refund request may be submitted within 24 hours of purchase, provided that:

the event has not yet been used;
no participant has accessed the event.

For VIF PAY-AS-YOU-GO, no payment is required before use. Once the event has been used, the amount due corresponds to billable active participants at the accepted unit price. A simple change of mind after use does not qualify for a voluntary refund.

Requests concerning, in particular, duplicate billing, a payment error, or a significant service failure attributable to VIF are reviewed separately.

Nothing in this policy limits any rights a consumer has under applicable laws.

7. Acceptable use

The organizer and participants agree not to use VIF to publish, upload or distribute content that is illegal, threatening, hateful, fraudulent, infringes the rights of others or is contrary to applicable laws.

VIF may restrict or remove access to content or an event when abusive use or use that is clearly contrary to these terms is identified.

8. Photos and uploaded content

Users remain responsible for the photos and content they upload to VIF, as well as for having the rights necessary to use and share them as part of the event.

Content is retained only for the period necessary for the operation of the event and in accordance with VIF retention and privacy rules.

9. Service availability

VIF aims to keep its service available and functional. Temporary interruptions may nevertheless occur, including for maintenance, updates, hosting, network issues or circumstances beyond the control of VIF.

When a significant issue prevents the normal use of a paid service, the user may contact VIF so that the situation can be reviewed.

10. Organizer account

The user is responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of login credentials and for activities carried out through the account.

Any suspected unauthorized use of the account must be reported promptly to VIF.

11. Protection of personal information

The collection, use, retention and protection of personal information are described in the VIF Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to the service or terms

VIF may modify its features and update these terms. The version applicable to a transaction is the version presented when that transaction is completed, subject to applicable laws.

13. Applicable laws

These terms are governed by the applicable laws of Quebec and Canada.

Mandatory rights granted to consumers by law remain applicable despite any provision of these terms to the contrary.
